Device Modes

All the Home I/O devices are interactive and have inputs/outputs points which can be used to automate the house.

All devices except the remote controls can be used in three different modes:

	Wired Mode: The house is not automated. This is a standard electrical installation where all devices are wired.
	Wireless Mode: Used with the Home Automation Console. The devices work with a central wireless controller which can be programmed to automate the house.
	External Mode: Allows each device I/O points to be accessed with Connect I/O, through the SDK or Python. Force writing of sensors and actuators data to Connect I/O, SDK or Python, independently of the current device mode, by setting WriteSensorsExternal: true and WriteActuatorsExternal: true in settings.yml (found in the installation directory of Home I/O).
